This exhibition, organized in collaboration with Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda and Alta Sartoria, is an artistic journey that offers a view of the evolution of portraiture and fashion from the 15th to the 20th century. It begins with the late medieval panel by the Master of A.E and continues with the austerity of Spanish Baroque in the portraits of Van der Hamen, the Flemish detailism of Cornelis Schut and Van Oost 'the Elder', and the modernity of the 19th and 20th centuries with works by Fortuny, Raimundo de Madrazo, Eugenio Lucas, Zuloaga, and Romero de Torres, who is represented by six of his famous Spanish women.
The paintings are displayed alongside five exclusive designs from Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda and Alta Sartoria. This collaboration highlights the connection between fashion and painting, exploring the evolution of traditional attire up to its contemporary reinterpretation by the prestigious luxury fashion.
