The 2026 Women in Museums event organized by Mercè Valderrey Art was especially exciting, taking place in a new venue: the Bonnefanten Museum, in Maastricht.
The event welcomed Leisa Paoli, Director and President of FAMM - Femmes Artistes du Musée de Mougin, as guest speaker. Hearing from someone who leads a museum dedicated exclusively to women artists offered a unique and valuable perspective. Leisa's insights into the museum’s mission and her experience leading it as a woman in the museum world fit perfectly into the nature of this event.
As in previous years, Mercè Valderrey produced the map of women artists, making it available to the public for TEFAF. This initiative continues our tradition of highlighting the contributions of women in the art world and sharing these important resources with the broader arts community, reinforcing the feminist focus of our event.
